This weekend is my son's 5th birthday. He wants the whole Wall E theme so I decided to make cookies for the kids party. I thought these turned out pretty cute! I bought the icing decorations at Michael's and used my mom's favorite cookie glaze. I hope he likes them. (He wants to wait for his party to see them so he'll be suprised!)
Those turned out way cute!!! Now...did you eat any yet?
ReplyDeleteReally cute! Does your mom's glaze harden so you can stack the cookies?
ReplyDeleteYes, they stack really well although I had to let them dry overnight. If they start getting hard place them in an airtight container with a piece of bread for a couple hours. Works wonders!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I can stop overspending on the Betty Crocker cookie frosting!!
ReplyDeleteThese cookies look fantastic!!! I have searched your site for the cookie & frosting recipe, but am having trouble finding it. Help! :)
ReplyDeleteSteven,

Can I tell you something funny? I guess I subscribed to the comments for this post but forgot ... so I thought Steven found my Wall-E cookies!
ReplyDeleteYours are better looking; I cut mine by hand (squares for Wall-E shapes) and the edges were jagged. But the type of glaze you suggested hardened just the way I needed it to to stack and carry the cookies to school. Here's a pic of one of mine, the link to see the rest is in the post.
